Here at REAP we are enjoying the lovely Spring weather.

 

A brand new 'Fun @ REAP' class is coming up in Queenstown, a 6 week programme where you can connect with your creative spark, and we provide the tools to help you publish your own book. You will get photography tips and help around design and layout.

 

A lot of exciting things are happening so take a look below to find out everything we have coming up.

CENTRAL SOUTHLAND

  • WINTON ST JOHN WORKPLACE FIRST AID
    Tuesday 16 OCTOBER 8.30am - 5.30pm
    Attain your St John First Aid Level 1 certificate (valid for two years). Ideal for anyone who wants to learn basic first aid or needs to update their first aid qualification. Minimum qualification requirement for a workplace first aider.
  • WINTON - TE REO MAORI PRONUNCIATION with Sharon Holt
    Thursday 18 October
    Afternoon Session: 2pm - 4pm   OR   Evening Session: 6.30pm - 8.30pm

    Presented by Sharon Holt, the author of award winning Te Reo Singalong books.
    Sharon is passionate about this language and loves to help people make progress with their
    pronunciation and use of te reo. This workshop will include pronunciation tips that really work, new phrases to use and some sentence structure games to practise the learning.

  • WINTON - BEGINNERS TE REO MAORI - 4 WEEK COURSE with Kay Lawton
    Tuesdays 6, 13, 20, 27 NOV - 6pm - 8pm
    Ihi mo Te Reo (Strength in Te Reo). Come and learn introductory Te Reo over this four week course. Covering learning your mihi, beginners pronunciation, learning short sentences, waiata & karakia.
  • WINTON - NCEA 4 U - Parents & Caregivers
    Classes run during the school terms
    Do you have gaps in your NCEA Qualification you would like to fill?
    We offer options in Winton & Gore for parents and caregivers (over 18), to study in a relaxed environment allowing you to obtain Level 1, 2 or 3 NCEA credits. Classes run during the school term, with childcare provided during the class.
  • One-On-One C.V. PREPARATION with Amanda Keen WINTON
    Do you need to produce or update your C.V. but don't know where to start? We can work with you to get your basic C.V. up-to-date and ready for use.

  • OHAI FLAX WEAVING with Ilse Todd OHAI
    Mondays during School Term, 10am - 2pm
    Ohai Playcentre $20 for the term

    Meet weekly during the school term to practice the many skills associated with the traditional art of Māori flax weaving whilst gaining confidence in Tikanga Māori.Learn the techniques for creating your own kakahu (maori cloak)
  • OHAI BLOKES WORKSHOP
    Thursday's - 1.30pm - 4.30pm
    Ohai RSA Hall - FREE

    A chance for men to meet up each week to create, build, learn from others or just hang out for a chat. Work on things such as chainsaws, maintenance on lawnmowers, small building projects, painting, community projects & many more hands on tasks.

  • GORE - STRESS BUSTING FOR MANAGERS with "Dr Stress" Dr John McEwan
    Monday 29 October, 9.30am - 12.30pm
    We lose too many busy and over-taxed leaders to stress related injury and illness. This workshop focuses on resilience building strategies that can be applied in workplace and home.

  • GORE - WORKPLACE STRESS MANAGEMENT with "Dr Stress" Dr John McEwan
    Monday 29 October, 2pm -3pm
    For ALL staff. Learn basic “things to do” to keep ourselves as safe as possible from the impact of pressure on our health, and our relationships. Stress Management means application of the
    “5 P’s” - learn how to apply these in the workplace.

  • GORE - ANXIETY & STRESS WORKSHOP with "Dr Stress" Dr John McEwan
    Monday 29 October, 7pm -8.30pm
    Do you suffer from a case of “knackeredness”? Learn strategies to lift the pressure from your
    mind and body. Re-boot your life with tricks and tools to help your system deal with “Fight and Flight” responses. In the rugby world we call it “Mental Skills” - by using the same tricks we use for the professional rugby players, many can find tools to defeat anxiety and depression over time.

  • GORE - PUAWAITANGA RARANGA - PIKAU BACKPACK WEAVING with Anna Gorham
    Fri 9 NOV 7pm - 9pm, Sat 10 NOV 9am - 4pm, Sun 11 NOV 9am - 12pm
    Learn further techniques of Raranga - Maori weaving with Anna Gorham, taking home your own Pikau (backpack) after this weekend workshop. You will learn how to identify harakeke for weaving backpacks and baskets and the process of preparation for harakeke.
    You will also learn basic Te Reo around weaving, a karakia and waiata. Option to stay at the Marae on Friday & Saturday night. Koha of $10/night requested. Please let us know!

    Final Day (shared lunch): Saturday - 9.30am - 1.30pm 24 NOVEMBER
    This 6 week programme provides the tools to help you publish your own book. You will get
    photography tips and help around design and layout. Put your creative ideas into practice and
    enjoy the experience of crafting your very own book. Enthusiasm and an idea are the only
