The GATE cluster concept involves clustering groups of schools together to work together to provide high quality learning opportunities, through a variety of educational programmes, where like-ability students come together to maximize their individual gifts and talents.
Currently Southern REAP is coordinating three GATE clusters within rural Southland, based in Central and Western Southland and the Wakatipu Basin. By working with representatives of the schools involved, the needs of our individual schools are identified.
